“I felt like we just kidnapped a cat.” – They were the first words out of my mouth, Kevin just laughed. But it seriously felt like we did. Walked up to the house with a cat carrier, knocked on the door, didn’t say a word, some teenager scurried around looking for her, pushed her into the cage, gave her the envelope and off we went. It didn’t feel right and I’m not pleased about the people who brought her into this world. But then she looked at me with those wide eyes, squeaked at me as if to say we were on this adventure together and I knew at that moment she was mine.
It’s been a world wind adventure the past eleven days. From Flynn hissing to me crying – but we’ve oddly settled down into a routine. Last night we all cuddled on the couch, a real family cuddle and for a moment I felt content – till the next moment of crazy run around doing homework.
She’s a mild mannered cat that doesn’t seem to meow, but squeaks and with one look at me starts to purr. Loves to cuddle on my pillow at night and climb the cat tree. Runs around chasing Flynn’s tail to hiding inside the chair. She’s one of those cats that with one look at her she steals your heart and I’m glad Flynn and her have become fast friends.
