Sticky: Don’t forget to retweet and keep coming up with names for the giveaway, thanks !
People were surprised at how honestly personal I was in my A Wee Bit of Personal Roar. But I’m going to knock it up a notch. As I said in that post, I’m at the worst weight I have ever been. I was a bit ‘chubby’ in highschool, but after wards when I had my job at the nearest mall I lost a lot of weight, I went down to a size six. I walked down and up hill about 45 minutes each way, almost every day, then stood on my feet for a minimum of three hours. I never ate fast food, at the most pizza or chinese food once a month, nor any pop.
That all changed when Kevin came around, my burger and pop intake went through the roof, plus chips and chocolate. I also finished BCIT and started a desk job, and my exercise level plummeted.
Before people can tell me ‘but you already look beautiful’. This is nothing about societies idea of a ‘thin women’ and nothing is pressuring me to be ’skinny’. That’s why I tried not to use the word ’skinny or weight loss’. This is about feeling good and I definitely don’t feel good. I’ve noticed definitely a loss of energy and my back has been a lot worse.
Starting from now, I’m on a fitness plan: no fast food, no pop – and I’m allowed one sweet thing a day. It’s not about losing weight, and being skinny. It’s about feeding muscle and having my body feel good. Since I know all of you will keep me to it :)
And since I’m putting it all out there, just so we know at the end of the six weeks this whole thing worked:
Weight: 140 to 150 pounds
Arm: 11.5 in.
Chest: 37 in.
Waist: 32.5 in.
Hips: 43 in.
Thigh: 23.5 in.

Oh Heather! I love you! First of all, I smiled when I read “pop.” Hehe! Anyways, I’m going to be one of those people that tell you that you look beautiful but I TOTALLY get what you mean about simply feeling good. So I’m right there with you! I’m trying to change a few things too :) You are so amazing for putting this out there. I LOVE your honesty!
Way to go. Doing the pics and measurements will keep you honest. You’re also brave as not many people could do what you just did. I’m still game for our weekly walks.
As I said before you are totally awesome.
Do it! I adore your honesty & go you for striving for health and feeling good!
Let’s pump some iron at the gym!!!! :D
Hey
It’s difficult to even have some free time to surf the net this times with this economy going on nowhere for certain, I was wondering if I should go to get some money on credit but the banks are not so willingly with small companies this period. Anyhow, with all this usual dilemmas that lead to anything good at least I came across a nice blog.
I was studying concrete, beams, construction topics mainly and I came across this gem of yours. Some intellectual accomplishment until I finish my work
Take Care
