Relaxing Vacation without the Sleeping

I love to travel, experiencing new cultures. This past year I wasn’t able to go on one, went to Jamie Delaine’s Internship instead. So I’ve been getting antsy over the past couple of months, getting bored of the Lower Mainland. Harrison Hot Springs Resort was on my list to visit for a relaxing two day getaway before SEEDS started.

I have to say I’m unsure if I will go back again unless it’s in the summer, going in the winter, not very exciting, especially when you can’t go into the Hot Springs because of *cough* female issues. But what surprised me was the actual bedding and when it was time to sleep. I know we were in the old part of the hotel, but the walls were so thin that we could hear our neighbour’s two hour conversation on the first night and on the second night it seemed like the people above us were having a dance off. The bed – was not my friend, it felt like an old coil bed and please hotels, down pillows are not the way to go. I had to sleep on a rolled up blanket so I wouldn’t get stuffed up.

Overall – it was nice to go into the country, it revived me creatively and makes me realize I should take a night over trip every couple months just to rejuvenate.
