Another day. Another year.

It was my birthday yesterday and I couldn’t help, but feel that this was going to be a year for change. Everyone says it, everyone hopes for it. Last year I told myself things were going to change, that I was going to live it like it was my last. Suffice to say, that didn’t happen. In fact last year was one of my worst. It was a bumpy road, and it still is. At this moment I feel like I am off the track, with so many things going on in my life.

  • My day job (web interface developer)
  • My own business (photography)
  • Classes
  • Juggling relationships

I’ve had a little bump this week. (I wonder why life throws bumps at you when you already have a huge boulder crashing down on you). This is the third day that I’ve had stress symptoms: headache and nausea.
In Canada – one needs a business license to charge money for ones freelance work and Lower Mainland area I am in is one of the worst in its bylaws. The basement suite I live in is not up to code; therefore I cannot get a business license and move forward with what I want to do.

My Dads kindly offered for me to live in their basement suite for the 10 months they still have their house (they are moving into a condo). So I have 10 months, to be able to get a business license, start my business, and then as soon as I do that I get to search for another place to live. So this weekend I get the lovely job of packing all my stuff into a truck and moving it half an hour away. So I will be afk from the Internet world for three days. *hands shake* See already withdrawal.

Normally I look forward to the weekend, not this weekend. I can’t wait for Monday to roll around. I want to get everything out of the way. Even with so many things to do and huge decisions to make, this year is going to be one a kind.

  1. Wow, I hope getting your license works out well for you. That’s exciting :)

Good luck with your three days off the Net :)

Happy belated birthday, dear. Good luck with getting everything sorted out. But don’t worry, it’ll all turn out okay. Just keep your head up. The fact that you’re so dedicated will take you a long way in itself.

Loving Life + Food on the Westcoast

In a society dominated by technology and fast food, our culture has lost our sense of adventure, to take that leap of faith to explore and try new things even when it comes to food. My intention is to promote a healthy lifestyle between helping our planet through sustainable means and using local food with fewer preservatives. + MORE
