Alex + Kristin

Little did they know at the beginning of the shoot, it would involve exercise, because apparently every shoot with me includes a hike up a hill. We had to work the ice cream calories off some how.

Alex and Kristin are great couple, with a fantastic personality and a sense of humour. We hit it off right away, even teasing K that he was our ‘bodyguard’. Alex and Kristin started dating last year, when they met at UBC, according to them it was ‘instant attraction’. Just seeing how they interact you can tell they are in love, and through out the shoot Kristin had this soft smile on her lips, whenever she watched Alex.

Alex is a model on Model Mayhem and wish her well in her endeavors and I hope we both grew from the experience.

For this shoot I tried to do a raw, black and white, simplistic approach, instead I went to my colourful lifestyle, which reminds me of American Eagle catalogues. The shoot was fantastic, the last photo I took, is one of my favourites of all time. But it also taught me that planning is everything when you have something in your mind. And even if I didn’t get what I wanted at the beginning, the whole process is about learning, growing, and meeting new people. Something that I definitely accomplished.

Thank you Alex and Kristin.

Look at those eyes. Actor indeed.

And I’ll leave you with my favourite of the shoot.

In a society dominated by technology and fast food, our culture has lost our sense of adventure, to take that leap of faith to explore and try new things even when it comes to food. My intention is to promote a healthy lifestyle between helping our planet through sustainable means and using local food with fewer preservatives. + MORE
